MCP Prompts

Cadence provides 10 pre-built MCP prompts — structured conversation starters that guide the AI through specific coaching workflows. Each prompt dynamically adapts to your connected devices.

Available Prompts

review — Weekly Training Review

Analyzes the past week's training load, recovery trends, and progress. Calls multiple tools to gather running volume, strength sessions, sleep quality, and HRV trends, then provides a structured weekly summary.

ready — Training Readiness Check

Answers "Am I ready to train today?" by checking recovery, sleep, HRV, and recent training load. Returns a green/yellow/red classification with specific session recommendations.

sleep — Morning Sleep Debrief

Morning-focused analysis of last night's sleep: stages, duration, efficiency, and how it compares to your recent trend. Flags sleep debt accumulation.

run — Post-Run Analysis

Analyzes your most recent run with splits, HR zones, pace consistency, and how the effort aligns with your recovery state. Useful immediately after a run.

log — Log Strength Workout

Interactive prompt for logging a strength session from natural language. Parses exercises, sets, reps, and weights, saves to the database, and compares to recent progression.

race — Race Readiness Assessment

Parameter: race_distance (default: "5k")

Evaluates readiness for a specific race distance. Fetches VO2max, recent running volume, HRV trend, and training load to estimate race pace and flag risks (overtraining, sleep debt, insufficient volume).

longevity — Monthly Longevity Review

Reviews biomarkers that correlate with longevity: VO2max, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep quality, strength training frequency. Designed for monthly check-ins.

overtrain — Overtraining Check

Evaluates signs of overtraining: declining HRV, elevated resting HR, poor sleep, high ACWR, consecutive high-strain days. Returns risk level with recommendations.

plan — Plan Next Week's Training

Designs next week's training schedule based on current recovery, training load, goals, and recent performance. Balances hard/easy days and respects recovery signals.

analyze — Deep Statistical Analysis

Data-scientist-style analysis: 30-day sleep/recovery/HRV correlations, sleep stage distributions, bedtime consistency patterns, day-of-week analysis. Presents findings with statistical rigor.
